Technically a game can’t be delayed if it never had a release date, but if you were expecting to play Diablo 4 or Overwatch 2 in 2021 then buddy do I have some bad news for you.

Surprise! Call of Duty has made a ton of cash in 2020. That’s a headline that I can file in the water is wet and the sky is blue category, as Activision’s annual blockbuster behemoth never fails to disappoint its investors.

If you played the Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War beta recently, you probably noticed that everyone treated the multiplayer as if the stages were coated in Vaseline. Sliding around in a manner that would embarrass even Vanquish, Cold War players exploited the action to get a leg up on the opposition.

Activision Blizzard has reported its new financial numbers for the July-September period, and in total the company has raked in $1.2 billion from microtransactions, which have been rebranded as “in-game net bookings.” That’s a gigantic 69% improvement from the same period as last year, as Activision Blizzard pulled in $709 million from in-game net bookings coin back then.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a fiendishly difficult platformer that carries on Crash’s legacy with aplomb. Though it sometimes feels like it hews a little too closely to the established formula, what it adds makes it more than just a worthwhile sequel. It’ justs a damn good game.

While we knew that zombies were making a return to Black Ops: Cold War, we should get to see a decent chunk of fleshy gameplay this Wednesday.
