Batman gets an anime treatment (again) in Japanese-made Batman Ninja. Prepare to have your mind blown, for better and worse.

The folks over at Good Smile are giving the Ninja version of Batman the treatment he deserves, with two exceptional versions of the new Caped Crusader.

Eighteen (yes, eighteen) new movies hit DVD and home release this month. Among them is dark romantic fantasy The Shape of Water, this year's Best Picture winner at the Academy Awards.

Damn Prime 1 for making an utterly sexy replica of the dark knight in Batman Ninja, at a price that I can’t afford because I’ve run out of excuses with which to lure my colleagues to a seedy motel bathtub full of ice.

Batman is finally diving deep into his ninja roots with the upcoming anime film which is looking crazy in all the right ways.

Batman! Anime! A kickass vigilante and a genre of animation that goes together like yours truly and terrible food suggestions. The dark knight isn’t a stranger to the realm of Japanese animation, but it has been a hell of a long time since the caped crusader flexed any of that muscle since then however. DC and Warner Bros. solution? Hiring Kill La Kill’s Kazuki Nakashima to pen a new feudal take on the hero, with Afro Samurai’s Takashi Okazaki fleshing out the character designs. I think the end result is batastic.
