Weekend Box Office Report 10 - 13 August 2017: Horror prequel/sequel Annabelle: Creation takes the top spot, on another incredibly slow weekend at the US box office

Weekend Box Office Report 4 - 6 August 2017: The Dark Tower takes the top spot, but it's a consolation prize as the other big opener Detroit stumbles badly on the lowest earning weekend of the US summer season.

Detroit: Become Human presents a tantilising web of narrative permutations, even if some of them seem to be telegraphed a little too plainly.

After a weekend of press conferences from developers, publishers and hardware giants, E3’s final press event had finally arrived. Once again Sony managed to snag the last slot of the day, this time hosting press, industry and fans at the Shrine auditorium. Last year’s press conference from Sony was refreshingly simple in its execution: Minimal talking and plenty of trailers.

Starting off with mournful singing in a snowy city, Detroit is very obviously not the sort of game that could be called happy. David Cage’s new game is visually impressive and filled with the same sort of emotive stuff you’d expect from the director.
