A new stronghold, a tougher world and more tweaks are on the way in the next update for The Division 2

Ubisoft wants to keep The Division 2’s servers full with a constant supply of fresh content that won’t take a whole year to get right. They’re planning to throw a few spanners into the game from as early as next week, when the first major update rolls out and ups the difficulty ante as the focus shifts towards the endgame space.

As a first step towards a future of more live service content, The Division 2 already feels amazingly complete. That’s a satisfying cherry on top of an already massive sundae of excellence.

Every now and then, there’s a little coded language that pops up in The Division 2, a barrier to play that must mean something. Something to do with trotting foxes and Zulu time, I’m certain. Exploring Washington DC is my favourite part of the The Division 2

My favourite part of The Division 2 so far? Washington DC. Sandbox games aren’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future, but there’s something special about a game that absolutely nails its environment. Having a metropolis filled with character, beauty and a sense of isolation that highlights its design is something special, an idea which The Division 2 simply excels at.

You’re going to need a lot of space on PS4 for The Division 2

By Darryn Bonthuys

The Division 2 is going to be taking up a lot of real estate on your platform of choice. While the 48 to 52 gigglebytes that the game reserves on your Xbox One and PC may be chunky, it’s not unusualy by today’s 4K standards. On PlayStation 4, it’s a completely different story as you’ll need to shell out a whopping 92 gigabytes of space, even if you’re installing from a disc.

Washington DC is an accurate simulation of a real apocalypse in The Division 2

For The Division 2, Ubisoft’s development team Massive is shifting states and taking its new American civil war to the political heart of that nation: Washington DC. There’s something infinitely more interesting about exploring the capitol, from its many landmarks to its more open design that makes for a fresher map.
