Remember Battlefield: Bad Company, that game that came out way back when (June or so was it?). Anyway, you will remember that it was actually a lot of fun to play online. Good news is that on Halloween, those DICE blokes released a Community Choice Pack which consists of two DICE chosen maps called Crossing Over and Ghost Town and then also chucked in two maps chosen by the community called Acta Non Verba and Par for the Course. So that's 4 maps to play, absolutely free! To make things even better, Par for the Course still has Golf Carts for you to drive around in. Anyone interested should also know that the maps weigh in at 256MB.

Now this is quite a strange one. Or maybe not. At a Canadian gaming festival called Festival Arcadia, fashion designers are going to be presenting their latest ideas for Lara Croft on real models. People will then vote, with the winners outfit becoming an exclusive DLC outfit for the new Tomb Raider game. The designer will also pocket a cool $3000. A second outfit will also be picked from entries that have come from gamers, with that outfit also being added as DLC. While I am against the idea of exclusive DLC, especially when it comes to silly things like outfits, I really do think that it is quite cool to get other markets involved in gaming. As if Burnout fans haven't already been spoiled rotten by Criterion Games with the mountain of free DLC that has already been released, it seems that they are planning even more. Criterion now have four more DLC packs planned and will be releasing info about them on each one a week after each other starting November 7. Criterion have apparently been working on an entire new island so fans should be able to enjoy a lot more of their game once the packs are released. Whether or not any of the packs will be free remains to be seen.

The much talked about 20 free downloadable songs for Rock Band 2 have officially been revealed. That's right, they are all DLC that should have been free. Ever since Soul Calibur IV was released with it's exclusive Star Wars characters (Vader for PS3 and Yoda for Xbox 360) there have been rumours that they would become available on the other systems as DLC. Those rumours have finally been put to rest now that it has been announced that the characters will be made available, for a price, of course. You will be looking at 400 MS points on Live and around a R45 on PSN. Considering that most fans of the Soul Calibur franchise think that the Star Wars characters are abominations and an insult to the game, I can't say that I think that they will be pleased to be spending extra money to get one extra out-of-place character. As I have mentioned before, I am a huge fan of Star Wars. Not only that but SCIV is the first fighting game that I have enjoyed in ages, especially with it's online multiplayer. So I am a perfect gamer to target for this DLC and you know what? I can't be bothered.
