Within several levels of DOOM Eternal, there exist rooms that offer a tighter challenge. Smaller in size, packed with strategy and overflowing with the damned, these Slayer rooms are a test of strength that’ll push you to the breaking point of endurance. What’s the point of these rooms? Bragging rights of course, but they also reward you with something far more precious: Empyrean Keys that will unlock the Unmaykr weapon.

It’s Battlemode where DOOM Eternal will live on, a one versus two multiplayer setup where a fully-kitted Doom Slayer takes on two demons who have to use guile and cunning to survive. It looks neat, and far better than DOOM 2016’s tepid approach to multiplayer. Something which even Bethesda VP Pete Hines agrees with.
DOOM Eternal is the most metal game in all of creation. It is rage and fire, the purity of armed combat dialled up to eleven and unleashed on a horde of eyeballs that simply aren’t ready for the retina-searing action that’s about to burn a new circle of hellish good fun into those ocular organs. Long live the Doom Slayer, long live the king of first-person shooters.
