Zero Punctuation: Spore

By Gavin Mannion

This week Yahtzee takes on Spore and somehow through all of it manages to avoid any mention of that DRM scandal or the Internet’s backlash against it. Something which I thought he would have revelled in… It wouldn’t be Thursday without ZP and he hasn’t let us down this week… I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Last Updated: September 18, 2008

Dead Space Plasma Cutter Gameplay

By BrettC

This game is looking very promising. The graphics are looking good and the sound is brilliant. It has been a while since we got a taste of a real good alien shooter. The video specifically shows the plasma cutter which seems to be the gun that kill everything, even when it’s already dead. I’m not sure if he shoots …

Fight Night Round 4: New Features Video

By Nick De Bruyne

Fight Night: Round 3 was a fantastic boxing game. Realistic graphics, great controls and fun multiplayer. There was very little wrong with this game as it delivered everything that a boxing enthusiast might enjoy straight to their living rooms. Fight Night: Round 4 is setting out to make the virtual boxing experience even better come 2009. A heap of new features are being added to the game to make up for all the short comings of the last title and improvements on all the elements that worked. The video supplied has been taken with a handheld cam so the quality is only half decent and the picture does shake a little but the presentation really gives you a good look at what this game has to offer so it's worth a look.

EA throws in the towel

By Gavin Mannion

It’s all over… for now. EA Games has released a statement announcing that they are no longer pursuing a takeover bid for Take Two International. No real reasons have been given yet but I would wager it has something to do with the negative publicity combined with a great current EA line up and the new and improved financial position …

About a week ago I wrote about FIFA 09 supporting 10v10 online, it has now been revealed that that was just the beginning of a whole new feature in FIFA 09. It’s called FIFA Clubs and if it turns out correctly it could be the next big thing in football games. Last Updated: September 11, 2008

By Philip Dunkley Oh how I love having new games to play, it’s been too long a drought, and all of a sudden, games are rolling through the door left right and centre, and it’s fantastic to be back. EA are having there busiest time of the year at the moment, with a plethora of titles being launched, especially on …

Dead Space – Developer Diary

By Nick De Bruyne
September 9, 2008

I don't know what's up with all these developer diaries but I am glad to see more about Dead Space. This game has definitely had a boost by the fact that Resident Evil 5 has been confirmed to only be a 2009 release and also that Silent Hill: Home Coming is receiving little to no attention at all. I have had my fill of scary games lately but this is unfortunately looking really good so I might have to go and buy some more diapers. The zero gravity elements look like they can make or break this game, so they had better get it right. Dead Space will be available on October 27 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Facebreaker – Reviewed – XBOX360

By Philip Dunkley So EA released their new Freestyle brand with the launch of this title, Facebreaker. I really hope that this is not the direction of the series, because if it is, they are in for a torrid time. I can understand companies releasing titles towards the end of the year to cash in on the mid-year slump, but …
