For the recent birthday screening of Nightmare On Elm Street 2 for lead actor Mark Patton at Fantastic Fest, the organisers wanted to do something special for the man of the hour, which resulted in a call being made to SideSerf Cake Studio to whip up a dream treat.

There’s a hidden Freddy Krueger reference in Injustice 2

In Injustice 2, there are at least two nods to Elm Street. One is in the Scarecrow’s gear, an obvious reference to the Fredora worn by the Springwood Slasher. The other? It's an Easter egg that only Fred-Heads wouldpick up on.

A Nightmare on Elm Street reality series almost aired in the mid-2000s

In 2005, A Nightmare on Elm Street: Real Nightmares was set to air. Englund would have hosted the series, which would have starred real people attempting to conquer their nightmares by being exposed to their deepest fears. If it sounds similar to that other show about phobias, Fear Factor, then you’re in the exact same frame of mind as the network CBS was when they cancelled the Freddy series after a mere four episodes.
