I like to imagine that controlling Jason Voorhees is a dream for many a gamer. I’m getting older, I’m hating people younger than me now more than ever and burying a digital machete in their soft skulls is kind of cathartic on a digital level. Gun Media and developer Illfonic knows of this bloodlust, as they’ve announced that Friday The 13th: The Game will hit digital shelves on May 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Which is thirteen doubled, so I see what they did there.

Death comes quickly in Battlegrounds, but thanks to a recent update players can now avoid the grim reaper with some cast-iron cookware. See, frying pans are commonplace items that most players ignore in favour of hogging other stuff in their ivnentory. It’s not hard to see why, as frying pans don’t boast the same talent for damage that a machete can provide. What these pans can do however, is stop a bullet.
