Killzone 2 is looking absolutely stunning to the point that I think it may very well blow Resistance 2 right out of the water when it releases. Gameplay videos have shown some incredibly smooth, detailed graphics and the gameplay looks intense and fun. All of you Killzone fans that eagerly awaiting the games release will be happy to know there is at least something small to get you even more excited. Fair enough, it's only the only the cover art, but it does look good. My only experience with the Killzone franchise was the PSP game and while I thought the game played incredibly well on the handheld, I was really impressed with the entire visual feel and art direction of the series. Some new footage of the Killzone 2 campaign has made its way onto the internet thanks to some random guy and a camera at the Tokyo Game Show. After watching this video, I don't think that it is even remotely necessary to actually talk about how incredibly good this game is looking, but I am going to do it anyway. The visuals are looking absolutely stunning and the gameplay looks like it is going to be a lot of faced paced action mayhem. Sure it may look a little like the love-child of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 but that doesn't change the fact that its looking magnificent. This game may just give Resistance 2 a swift and solid kick in the pants when it is released. Playstation 3 owners... what say you? Hot or Not?

Apparently a Killzone 2 BETA specifically for journalists is being planned for later this year and the invites have already been sent out. I for some unknown reason never received one… possibly punishment for not loving the game or just due to the fact that we are not as big as IGN yet? Either way I am hassling SK now …
