By Gavin Mannion

Apparently I don’t know what I am missing… I recently received a press release about the upcoming Grey’s Anatomy video game and promptly deleted it. I then continued with my life knowing I made the right decision… that is until I got home and accidently mentioned to my wife that they were making a game about one of her favourite …

Sacred 2 Console Versions coming next year

By Gavin Mannion

As far as I can tell there was never a solid release date for the console version of Sacred 2 but it has always been assumed that we will be seeing it before Christmas this year. Unfortunately this has proven to be a false hope as the developers have announced this morning that they are now aiming for a 2009 …

[Update] Game Prices After October 27

By Nick De Bruyne
October 17, 2008
in :  Gaming
10

Earlier today we posted that game prices will be seeing a hike as of the 27th of October. While we were worried that games may be seeing as much as R850 per title, it looks like we might be able to relax a little bit. South African distributor Megarom have seen the article and have sent me a price list of the titles that will be releasing after that date and I can happily say that while the price increase will still happen, we won't likely be seeing the prices that we feared. Prices and more after the jump. From what I have seen on this price list, there will be no standard titles that will exceed the R699 mark. Here is a list of some of the big titles coming from Megarom. If any other distributors would like to clarify any of there RRP's please feel free to mail me at nick@lazygamer.co.za. End of October: James Bond - Quantum of Solace: R679 Fallout 3 - R679.00 Legendary - R679.00 November: Tom Clancy's End War - R699.00 Call of Duty: World at War - R679.00 Guitar Hero World Tour - Standalone Game - R679.00 Shaun White Snowboarding - R699.00 Naruto - The Broken Bond - R699.00 December Prince of Persia - R699.00 So there you have it folks, while the prices are going up, they are at least not going to be going up to what we had feared which is a bit less of a kick in the pants from the economic crisis. Also, many people are reporting to us that preorder prices are not looking like they are going to be locked down at all in most cases, so be advised.

Can you believe it, it’s Thursday and I nearly forgot about Zero Punctuation. I blame Nick for this, I have spent all morning hassling him to finish up his huge article that needed to go live this morning.. Oh wait, you don’t know which article I am talking about… well if it is before 8am then make sure you come …

Huge Lazygamer rAge 2008 Image Gallery

By Nick De Bruyne

Header.jpg You all may have read Gareth's rAge article two days ago and noticed that he mentioned that I ran off with the camera on a secret mission.... Now that I am back I have loaded up some of our photos of rAge for your viewing pleasure, complete with commentary.... There are roughly 20 images at 40kb's so those who are watching their bandwidth should wait till the get to work and abuse theirs instead.... If you didn't already know, it requires four Xbox consoles to do so. ^ The show was absolutely jam-packed on Saturday ^ A lot of stands had Monster PC's set up to remind people about how terribly crap their own home rigs actually are and that games will never look as good when they are playing at home.... ^ A competition that brings a new meaning to "The Orange Box" ^ Visitors have a rock out session with Guitar Hero: World Tour.... ^ Brothers in Arms and Far Cry 2 at the Megarom stand. That dude in the white shirt looks like he is concentrating pretty hard. ^ The new Prince of Persia is looking really sweet but I have to pixelate the image or Ubisoft and Megarom might send some really scary people to my front door to remove my teeth.... We will have an interview with the up on the site in the very near future. 14.jpg A fight over company shares quickly led to Danny pulling a massive "Hadoken" on Mark.... 16.jpg A Guitar Hero competition finals match held at the Game Exchange stand.... 18.jpg [LAWN] clan members were not allowed inside for the fear that they may start breaking things. 20.jpg Some members of [LAWN] and The Evil Alpacas take over the local Spur. You can't see it in the photos but there were about 15 of us in there.
