Like many before it, Mixer failed in its bid to topple the titan that is Twitch, and is now officially dead.

He will join Ninja in signing an exclusivity contract as Microsoft’s streaming platform places an emphasis on marketable personalities.

A joint report from Streamlabs and Newzoo reveals that Mixer’s viewership is down despite more channels being actively used by streamers.

The popular Fortnite streamer already has five million views on his channel just days after officially joining Mixer, and at the time of writing, Ninja now has over a million subscribers who have flocked to his brand and the service.

Having risen to fame with his Fortnite streams, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has long been the de facto name in livestreaming for a good couple of years now over on Twitch. That’s all about to change, as Blevins isn’t just trying out a new service for is future streams. He’s making that move exclusive as he heads towards the lucratively greener pastures of Mixer.
