E3 2019 Eyes-On Preview: Outer Worlds gives you intriguing and hilarious ways to complete quests

There's no disputing it – The Outer Worlds looks like a Fallout game in all but name. Which shouldn't come as a surprise, given that Obsidian Games is behind it. As the creators of arguably the best Fallout game out there (even with New Vegas' misgivings) it's still somewhat surprising how much of that DNA is retained in Outer Wilds. That isn't to say this looks like a decade old RPG either. Outer Wilds instead looks to build on ideas that haven't worked out as well in past Obsidian ventures, giving you even more ways to approach its more open-ended quests.

The Outer Worlds is the latest game to ditch Steam and head to the Epic Games Store

Epic has done it again! Late last night, Obsidian Games together with their publisher Private Division, announced that the studio was not going to be releasing The Outer Worlds on Steam as previously planned, and instead was going into a timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store in addition to their already planned launch on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. Chalk up another one for Epic's store.

Thank goodness! While patches for each of the three platforms have already been released, they only fixed a few of the immediate bugs. The patches didn’t squash all the bugs, however, and the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are still a little shaky.
