The survival game that seemingly explodes in popularity every few months, is leaping onto consoles for all those Xbox and PlayStation owners who’ve been left out of the hype.

While we have no solid details on a release date, it’s actually just impressive that such a port is being conducted in the first place.

As an expression of art, Ori’s latest venture is a visual and an audio masterpiece on the Xbox One. Just don’t expect to see it make the hop over to Nintendo Switch anytime soon…or ever.

XCOM 2 on Switch is a functional, enjoyable port that falls prey to some of the weaker hardware offered by Nintendo. If you can look past all the performance issues and long-ish load times, XCOM 2 continues to be one of the best strategy games ever published.

No matter how many times you read a sentence that starts with, “Doom has now been ported…” do you ever actually get tired of seeing it?

Beneath the angst, probably blaming Slipknot for its existence and an edgelord aesthetic that hasn’t been seen since Linkin Park debuted their Hybrid Theory album, Hatred was…meh. It was serviceable stuff, it ran alright and it was pretty much a twin-stick shooter that didn’t have much going for it beyond it coasting on controversy. Said edgy content has pretty much been forgotten about in the years since it was released, a flash in the pan experience that few remember. And now it looks like it’s coming to Nintendo Switch.

We waxed lyrical last year about just how dang good Disco Elysium was to play. An RPG where you stepped into the gumshoes of a washed out detective and then bolstered their skillset with strangely-specific mental conditions, Disco Elysium wasn’t just good to play but a bit of a looker as well. Right now, you can grab it on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. Not Nintendo Switch, no sir the best platform under the sun hasn’t been graced by developer ZA/UM’s masterpiece…yet.

Could Half-Life: Alyx come to console, especially the PS4 and its PSVR hardware? Probably not anytime soon.
