The original Division was a third-person adventure with a mix of cover, stats and good ol’ role-playing elements for extra points, there was a lot to emotionally invest in when it came to constructing how your character operated within New York City and its Dark Zones. A few years later and we’re at the doors of sequel territory, with The Division 2 featuring more subtle changes to its formula while still retaining the feel and handling of the original.

A private beta for The Division 2 kicks off on February 7 and runs until February 10, if you happen to have pre-ordered the game. If you haven’t, because you’re a 2010s video gamer who has been through all of this before maaaaaaaan, you can still stand a chance to hop in to the beta by registering for it. If there’s enough space, that is.
