We haven't heard much about the Alien franchise since Disney acquired the property through Fox. Ridley Scott reveals that there have been discussions about it though.

Disney may be mum on their plans for the Alien franchise, but director Ridley Scott would still like to make another movie that answers some of the many lingering plot threads.

In a recent interview director Ridley Scott spoke briefly about the future of the Alien franchise. He's confirmed that discussions have taken place, but also stresses the franchise needs to evolve in order to stay fresh.
