State of Decay 2 and all of its many MANY improvements is getting squished together with a bunch of DLC to form the unstoppbale Juggernaut Edition.

State of Decay 2 isn’t really about the zombies. Sure, the small towns you’re trying to scavenge your way through are filled with hordes of the undead, and they’re its raison d'etre – but it’s a game about survival. It’s less about the lopping off of limbs, perfect headshots and gruesome finishing moves – though they’re all present. It’s all about learning how to stay alive in the face of an apocalypse.

State of Decay 2 is not the biggest exclusive Microsoft has to offer, but with a new release date in May it does have the chance to leave a big impact before E3.

State of Decay 2 is planting you firmly in the shoes of a leader, and making every decision you make count in its evolving undead world.

State of Decay 2 looks depressing, challenging and set in a very sombre world. Sort of like a Walking Dead game then, except not soul-crushingly terrible and better left forgotten. Those fat zombies look like a nightmare to deal with then, and I’m keen to see how the sequel builds on the survival fort mechanics of the first game when it releases.
