In an unprecedented move to end the gaming year on, Sony has reversed course on Cyberpunk 2077’s rocky launch, pulling it from the PlayStation Store and offering users a refund.
If you’re planning to be invested in Valhalla, that’s fine. But if you’re looking for a speedier path to power, well big surprise! You can now do so for a price. A mere month or so after it launched, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla now has XP boosters up for sale.
At the very least, CD Projekt Red’s latest sandbox has a fantastically-imagined world to explore. It’s infused with neon lights, all the advertising is incredibly horny, and everyone dresses like an extra in a Duran Duran music video. But by the cyber-gods, there are a lot of dicks in the game.
Good for a single weekend or several weeks of grinding to catch all the Temtem, developer Crema’s RPG is a worthy challenger to the pocket monster throne, and it’s only going to get better from here until the day it’s ready for a full release.
Like every expansion before it, Beyond Light stuck to its traditional guns shortly after it landed. A new world to explore? Check! New gear to collect? Check! A new subclass for the Warlock class that was nuked from orbit after release and transformed into a punching bag for Hunters and Titans in the Crucible? You better believe that that is a check on the Bungie list.
Developed by Cyanide Studios, the trailer narrated by game director Julien Desourteaux shows off the core meat and potatoes of Werewolf’s gameplay. You can skulk around in your human form, laying traps and taking out enemies or you can get sneakier as a full-blooded wolf that can work its way into conveniently-shaped air ducts for maximum surveillance opportunities.
Morbid follows the Dark Souls formula pretty closely despite it having a retro charm, but the boss fights are an undeniable highlight of the game. Disturbing bouts of danger that will snuff your flame out with a single lucky blow, these encounters boast an incredible art direction, fascinating gameplay quirks, and a challenge that’ll leave your controller moist with hand sweat.
