In the current console race, Microsoft’s ace up its sleeve is an ecosystem where backwards compatibility actually matters. Thanks to efforts over the years, a large chunk of the Xbox, Xbox 360 has been preserved and made accessible on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Many of those games have even received a few nifty upgrades along the way, and now Microsoft is stepping up its game further to enhance them even further with Xbox FPS Boost.

Considering that the original giveaway was a small disaster that no doubt involved multiple servers being set on fire, Ubisoft has extended the promotion by two full days.

The Ubisoft Forward livestream will no doubt have a bunch of games to show off and a weird Just Dance segment that’ll make you wonder if your drink has been spiked, but there’ll be one other bonus for anyone in digital attendance: A free game, in the form of Watch Dogs 2 on PC.

I still maintain that we’re living in a glorious golden age of original video game soundtracks, but there’s nothing wrong with tapping your foot to whatever is currently dwelling on the top 40 charts! While you’ll seldom see licensed tracks appear outside of sports and sandbox games these days, there was an age where developers couldn’t get enough of professionally produced tracks. And amongst so many of them, here are ten of the best.

Back in 2016, in Ubisoft’s lovely Watch Dogs 2, a mission had players hack into a fictionalised version of Ubisoft’s San Francisco offices. The gaol of that mission was to steal a trailer for an unannounced game and sell it off to gaming website. It turned out that the trailer – which showed a colourful space exploration reminiscent of No Man’s Sky – was a real game in development. It was a clever, meta way to announce a new game. Unfortunately, that game has now been canned

Watch Dogs 2 has it's first major story DLC and it builds on everything that was good about the first game. Just don't expect it to change the things you might not have liked.

Games get patches all the time, but few add new elements to a narratives ending. Ubisoft did just that with Watch Dogs 2 recently, and it has fans buzzing over a new location for the presumed sequel.

Despite a slow burning start, Ubisoft is happy with the way word of mouth has turned around Watch Dogs 2 sales. And they're hoping to keep the momentum with their four new titles for the year.
