The Conduit on Wii shows off Xbox 360 level of graphics – Yeah Right

By Nick De Bruyne

High Voltage Software, the developers of the The Conduit for the Nintendo Wii have been going on for a while now about how the Wii is capable of graphics that are on par with the Xbox 360. They have now released a video showing off the technical capabilities of the game and indeed the Wii. I am sorry, but I am just not sold in any way. While the game looks quite cool and the graphics are relatively impressive, it still feels like nothing more than an impressive Gamecube title at best. If an Xbox 360 game was released with the same graphics as The Conduit it would be torn to shreds in an instant. Good for them for pushing the abilities of the Wii but please, don't make bold statements that just aren't true.

Wii Music Trailer: This Makes Me Sad

By Nick De Bruyne

What you are about to witness, is an advert for Wii Music. Wii Music doesn't completely make sense to me. You can pretty much do what you want and still be apart of the songs. Which makes me wonder, why not just flip your television to MTV and wave your coffee mugs around instead? It's cheaper for starters, well, as long as you don't toss any of them into a wall. The sad fact is that this "game" is going to sell like hotcakes, even though I think that most people are going to only toy around with it a few times and then never touch it again. What also interests me and only serves to prove my point a little more, is that I could take the above video and replace the piano music with the sounds of bongo drums and most people wouldn't even realise. I know that Nintendo wants to make games that are interactive and easy to learn, but this barely makes you apart of the actual experience at all.

By Gavin Mannion

So with the mass markets eyes slowly shifting towards Christmas the next big question obviously becomes “which console is going to take this season?” The Yahoo PlayBack slot has tackled this question this week and it is little suprise that once again the Nintendo Wii is the pre-season favourite. However what is suprising is how badly Yahoo thinks of the …
