No no they’re not getting sued or anything like that. Actually the hit game may soon be a REALITY TV SHOW and possibly even an actual in-the-flesh CONCERT TOUR!?!? …. It’s okay, you go right ahead and get that confused, what’s-going-on-here-look off your face – it took me a while too. But its all true as apparently Activision Blizzard are …

So we all know about Bruckheimer and his mod-squad buying into the whole video gaming plot and starting Bruckheimer Games (which is an awful title for a gaming company by the way) but now it seems that some of the other boys in Hollywood have had a taste of the gaming pie too…and they like it. They like it so …

Tomorrow, April 1st, is of course Aprils fool’s day. It’s a day marked by the execution of simple practical jokes or elaborate hoaxes upon friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and *ahem* readers. Since the prevalence of the internet, it’s become traditional for news sites to try and dupe readers with some piece of fictionalised news. Before the internet though, a …

If you’ve yearned to don a pair of licenced underwear over a set of licenced tights and – together with a similarly licenced group of friends – save or subjugate the world, your wish is coming. Marvel have resurrected their plans for a Marvel MMO, but this time they’re not just promising one game – they currently have two …

Can you speak WoW? Watching this made me "kek", then "QQ" a little.

A US news station ran a story about one of their presenters’ boyfriends/husbands who is an avid World of Warcraft player. The story is actually all about the “language” spoken by these hopelessly addicted gamers, and it’s quite special to say the least. I used to play Guild Wars quite often, but I kept my involvement fairly light, only playing …

If any Diablo fans out there want to hate me for creating that image header, feel free. I kind of hate myself for even having the idea. What would Deckard Cain think of me? This post is actually supposed to be about some funny pictures made by a Blizzard artist that refers to how fans felt about the overly colourful …

Videogames get a bad rap because of yet another idiot

By Nick De Bruyne

prince-arthas-lich-king-joined.jpg I don't really know what to say about stories like this anymore... You would think that somewhere deep down inside the mind of gamers, a small bit of logic would kick in and tell you that playing a game for 27 hours solid is probably not very good for your health. This unfortunately was not the case with 15 year Swedish old World of Warcraft player who was keen to give his new "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion a good go when his body decided to have epileptic seizures instead. I found it quite funny to read that "Understandably, the boy's father plans to place limits on the amount of time his son can play videogames after he makes a full recovery." Did it have to come to seizures for the parent to realise that letting a 15 year old play for 27 hours was a really bad idea? Nice job parent and now videogames are going to take the fall for it, not you.
