Xbox Game Pass on its own is a terrific service on console, although the PC side of the equation has felt a touch lighter in recent memory. The good news this week is that PC subscribers will be able to dip their toes into an expanded catalogue of games, as EA Play is finally being rolled into Game Pass. The upgrade will go live on March 18 (Today!) at 2PM PT, which translates to shut I’m sleeping it’s 11 PM already.
Electronic Arts has had a brilliant system for trying out its games for several years in the form of EA Access, a cheapish subscription that is finally coming to Steam. Until it arrives, EA’s expansion and return to Steam will kick off with a baker’s dozen of games that includes Dragon Age Inquisition and serene indie darling Sea of Solitude, as the publisher is finally ready to sell games on the biggest digital distribution platform once again.
It’s PvE campaign may be a bit of a wash despite the Looney tunes approach, but if you’re looking for some addictive multiplayer action that hasn’t changed too much between instalments, Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is still a chaotic start to the day that is packed full of vitamin C for crazy.
Like any rotting husk of meat that barely has any life left within its noodle limbs/Critical Hit staff member, you just can’t keep a good zombie down for long as Plants vs Zombies is resurrecting its shooter formula for another stab at glory. Called Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, it’s the Garden Warfare setup all over again but with a few twists and tweaks over on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Including the world map which looks waaaaay bigger than most people were anticipating, I bet.`
