Let freedom ring in this new trailer for DJANGO UNCHAINED

I’m really, really looking forward to Django Unchained. Which is kind of odd, because the last couple of Quentin Tarantino films had me tossing out my sleeping tablet prescription for a pillow.

They were boring, is what I mean. But this western looks different. It looks like Tarantino has managed to finally put his bloated ego to one side and make a movie that is entertaining on both fronts, especially for people like me that have a Baysplosion lobe in their head. Witty speech and intense action? It’s about damn time!

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.

Oh Quentin Tarantino, only you could make redneck racist Klan members with sheet shortages funny. Django Unchained is out on Christmas day in the US of A, because nothing says yuletide spirit like slavery and violence.

Look out for it to release some time next year on our side.

Wait, wait, wait…. You found Inglourious Basterds boring? Exsqueeze me? Baking powder?

    Son, I am disappoint.

Let’s face it – for all its brilliance IG really dragged its heels in many scenes. In fact, if you culled the scenes containing Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz, it would have felt like a really long movie.

And I like slow Tarantino. Jackie Brown is one of my faves.

That’s my exact same complaint. The film just dragged on and on and on and on and on…

The story was great, the actors brilliant, but the pacing was just terrible.

Maybe I’m just a QT fanboy then, but I’ve watched IB about 5 times now already, and I’ve never felt it dragging. In fact I felt it was one of his better paced movies, as the dialogue scenes were just crackling.

Agreed. The previous trailers didn’t quite catch me. This one, though – goosebumps!
