I might have lied in that review yesterday concerning The Dark Knight Returns. It’s not the best Batman film I’ve ever seen. It’s the best first half of a Batman film that I’ve ever seen.
Part two of the epic Dark Knight saga is on the way though, and it’ll be here early next year. What can you expect in that film? Jokes, murder, Superman, Ronald Reagan and the mother of all ass-kicking, as this trailer documents.
After seeing the first film, this is the one that really has me excited. Gotham in ruins, a hero tamed by the government and the Joker returning, are just some of the highlights within that part of the original graphic novel.
It’s Batman pushed to his limits, much like my patience for the January release date.
