Yesterday’s “teaser” leave you disappointed? Too much talking heads and not enough tree rape? Well, then boy do we have something for you today: A reference to a great psychiatrist who can help you overcome this twisted tree fetish!

For the rest of you mentally stable folks though, click on through to check out the new full length trailer for director Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead remake. Just a word of warning (or encouragement, depending on how you look at it), this is most definitely NSFW.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Well, damn. That sure as hell looks completely messed up. Which is kind of exactly what fans of the original Evil Dead want. Having the original director and star, in the form of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell respectively, involved so heavily in this production certainly appears to have paid off.

I know we gave this movie a whole lot of schtick when it was first announced, particularly when it once had Lily Collins in the lead as a waify new Ash (with inexplicably thick eyebrows), but this trailer gives me the feeling that come release day, I’m going to be eating some crow. Very bloody crow.

Hmmm, not sold. I’m getting the same slick horror remake vibe that we got from stuff like Chainsaw Massacre and Elm Street. All flash, no soul.

It wouldn’t be Evil Dead without some lumber molestation…
