…Prequel. Ha! Got’cha! Cheap tricks aside, there’s been plenty of promotional footage for the upcoming Kung Fu love letter from director Rza. The characters have all been detailed, kickass posters have been served and even more gluteus maximuses have been served a healthy dose of foot to rump style attacks.
Time to get the ball rolling, with one stylish, short and sweet prequel detailing the man himself.
Set on a Dutch slave ship wherein our man with no name and iron fists finds himself paddling away the days, the short prequel asks a simple question: What happens when iron meets Brass Body?
There’s some gorgeous drawings here, all thanks to Afro Samurai producer Eric Calderon and Manabu Inada, with the Rza himself doing the voiceover.
The Man with the Iron Fists is out internationally in December, with no solid release date on this side yet.
