Captain-America-Civil-War-Teams

UPDATE: Here’s the brand-spanking new trailer, that features a certain neighborhood friendly Spider-Man popping up:

So a new – and final – trailer for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War is dropping later tonight. We know this because Marvel has taken to the interwebs with a pair of videos showing off the Captain America and Iron Man’s respective superhero teams to tease this big trailer. Have a look at them below.

Did you notice something missing in both of those teasers? Well, if you’ve been following this movie’s ad campaign then it’s the same thing that was missing in all the promo material up until this point: Spider-Man. We know that Tom Holland is going to debut as the new wall-crawler in Civil War, but we’ve yet to see a single frame of footage of him. This is understandable as his first appearance in the MCU proper is a big deal, and Marvel clearly don’t want to spill the beans early. But apparently, those beans are about to go flying everywhere!

According to Latino Review (who have a decent track record when it comes to Marvel rumours), the bigwigs over at the Marvel headquarters are referring to this final preview as the “payoff” trailer as it’s finally going to deliver what fans have been asking for. And deliver in bulk, as this trailer reportedly “heavily features” Spider-Man in it. And that would… er… amazing… if true.

And as LR points out, if Spider-Man is getting revealed later tonight, this could be some really savvy marketing from Marvel. Its biggest rival at the moment is undoubtedly DC’s Batman v Superman, which has been doing quite the marketing push itself. But if Spider-Man gets unveiled, it’s no doubt going to take over the news cycle for a few days. Marvel can stretch that even further if they also start revealing all the Spider-Man merchandise from the movie that they’ve completely held back until now. And just when that buzz starts dying down, whaddya know, Daredevil season two debuts! And just like that BvS has been shut out in the home stretch to its own release. Sneaky.

But that’s all just speculation. What isn’t though, is that Civil War is probably going to have some incredible bone-crunching fights scenes just like its predecessor Winter Soldier. We’ve already seen snippets of that in the first trailer, but ET managed to get some behind the scenes video during a set visit, showing off plenty of the gritty action scenes we can expect, as well as some cool interviews with the cast.

Captain America: Civil War stars *huge breath* Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman. It is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May.

As well you should, with a lot of cross-interest of gamers with movies like this.

I’m really looking forward to this.
And although I did enjoy the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, I’m open to new and different versions of him. Never did like Tobey McGuire as Peter Parker.

I wish Garfield was considered for this Spidey. I really enjoyed him.
Tobey was a downer but his Spiderman 2 is still the best of the Spiderman movies imo.

I think the issue is who is the best choice producer or screenwriter for spiderman cos the ‘S’ company who owned spiderman before really ruined spidey story big time: for example, they let MW, an ‘beginner’ director with not past outstanding portfolio other than some don’t-know-what-is-the-romantic movie to film spidey movie! It take extraordinary producer like Christopher Nolan to bring out the essence of batman, therefore we expected those who filmed our friendly neighbourhood trademark-spiderman movie to be high standard quality idealist as well!
