If there’s one man that has single handedly contributed the most to the boom in the brown pants industry over the last couple of years, it’s James Wan. Although it can be said that he kickstarted the current trend of torture porn with Saw, he has employed a low on gore, high on creeping me the hell out style that has been voiding bowels ever since.

One such celluloid colonic was Insidious, and now Wan is back for Chapter 2 of this haunted house tale and it somehow looks even creepier.

The famed horror team of director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell reunite with the original cast of Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Barbara Hershey and Ty Simpkins in “Insidious Chapter 2,” a terrifying sequel to the acclaimed horror film, which follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world

Yeah, I think I’m sleeping with the light on tonight.

Insidious Chapter 2 will be haunting cinemas on – when else? – Friday 13 September, 2013.

I just hope they don’t do what some horrors do in the sequels and add more flashy, OHHH,. AHHH in the attempt to make it bigger and badder than the last. I really enjoyed the first one!
