I’ve always been very vocal in the past about the fact that I hate teaser trailers for trailer only a little less than stubbing my little toe on a coffee table. When it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice though, we’ve had so little official footage that I’ll take whatever I can get.

It’s been revealed that a new full trailer for the film will be debuting on Wednesday evening’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the States, but before we don’t have to wait till then to get Bats and Supes on as a 35-second clip (so technically, it’s not really a teaser) played during last night’s mid-season finale of Gotham. Yes, Batman finally showed up in Gotham and he wasn’t a whiny little kid. What he was though, was a captive of a very pissed off looking Superman!

Okay then. Firstly, it would appear that Peter Capaldi’s Doctor on Doctor Who may have some competition in the “Attack Eyebrows” category – I mean, just look at Henry Cavill’s super-scowl!. Secondly, what the frak is going on here?! Why is Superman unmasking Ben Affleck’s Batman like that, and in front of his subservient acolytes? AND WHY DOES SUPERMAN HAVE SUBSERVIENT ACOLYTES?!

If you think director Zack Snyder pissed off the unflinching “boy scout” Superman fanboys with Man of Steel, I have a feeling that this will be a whole other level of fan-hate. Personally, I just want to know what is happening here. And hopefully we can get a clearer picture on Wednesday evening.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was written by Chris Terrio (Argo) and also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, and Laurence Fishburne. It is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
