Here’s the Call of Duty: Ghosts launch trailer

Yes, we know this is from Modern Warfare.

It is now exactly two weeks until the only game with the potential to outsell Grand Theft Auto V this year is released/ Yep, in two weeks it’s time for the latest game in the annualised shoot-a-thon, Call of Duty, ad to celebrate, here’s the game’s launch trailer.

Say what you will about Call of Duty and its perceived fanbase of 12 year olds, but it’s an absolutely mammoth property, selling like gangbusters each and every year. Will it manage to do what just about every other Call of Duty has done, and break the previous entry’s sales records?

Honestly? I don’t think so – and I think a lot of that has to do with the current generational transition; some people will be happy to wait until the next-gen versions of the game are available, so the sales figures will be staggered – and publishers seem to relish little other than day one sales. That and it really seems like fatigue is setting in, which is a bit of a pity -  because the game actually looks pretty damned good.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming on November 5 for PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 – and will hit the Ps4 and Xbox One when those systems are available. If you buy a current gen version, you’ll be able to upgrade the sucker

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
