Watch people playing Kinect Star Wars

2 min read

As a dedicated Star Wars fan, you might be keeping an eye on Microsoft and LucasArts’ Kinect Star Wars in the hope that it’ll let you live out your fantasies of being a Jedi.

You might wish to look away then, because this video of young folks playing Kinect star wars does more to tarnish the series’ name than George Lucas managed with Jar Jar Binks.

Watch in abject horror as a young girl plays through the pod-racing section from Episode 1, followed by a bit of force-powered Lightsaber action (the force throw stuff actually looks really cool, and oddly empowering) followed by the tour de force; Stormtroopers dancing away to a star-wars themed version of a Village People number in the unfortunately very real dancing sections of the game (which look like they’ve been taken directly from the really rather good Dance Central)

Everybody! It’s great to be in the Empiiiiiiiiire today!

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
