In a recent Q&A session that the company held with its voracious stockholders as they discussed the financial earnings for the 2nd Quarter, Activision president Rob Kostich detailed how their current remasters had done well on a critical and a financial level.

Love it or hate it, but if Activision can sell an entire Titanic’s worth of Call of Duty every single year then they must be doing something right. While the campaign mode of this year’s Modern Warfare wants to shine a serious light on war, it may be at odds with the multiplayer component of the package which is looking to emphasise a number of new factors within its DNA.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is looking to distance itself from previous gung-ho campaigns that saw you spending a weekend as an action hero and focusing more on the idea of war being a terrible thing, the multiplayer side of the equation might also have a few new tricks up its sleeves.
