Only Bungie knows what the future holds in store for Destiny. It’s kind of nice though, that the studio is starting to talk more about it as they edge closer to independence.
In the latest Bungie blog, Destiny franchise director Luke Smith penned a letter on the game and it’s “bright future”. “In the short-term, we're continuing to build the content we’ve promised for the Annual Pass,” Smith wrote.
With the Festival of the Lost having wrapped up and the Season of the Forge having just begun, it’s time for Destiny 2 to get a bit more festive. The annual Dawning event returns this year on December 11, along with an old face: Shader maestro supreme, Eva Levante. This year, the quest is simple: Get some of those sweet sweet baking supplies that Eva needs, so that she can hand out Gjallardoodles and Chocolate Ship biscuits.
Destiny’s best Exotic may not be the most powerful gun around when compared to the ludicrous firepower of Riskrunner or the Gambit-breaking weapon of choice for Invaders known as Sleeper Simulant. But it certainly is a gun with the most interesting history out of all the storied weapons in Destiny 2. A story that is making a return, as The Last Word is finally coming home.
Lost Forges will serve as new endgame content that pushes Guardians towards the new power threshold of 650, while also giving you more control over who you play with when Destiny 2's new Black Armory content arrives next week.
