BlizzConline kicked off at un ungodly hour with an equally unholy classic, resurrected from the beyond the pale and ready to wage war against evil once more. After having been rumoured to have been in development for untold eras, Blizzard finally confirmed that Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion are getting the remaster treatment.

BlizzConOnline kicks off in a handful of hours, and while fans are expecting some sort of update on Diablo 4, it looks like the development team just dropped some early and meaty tidbits on how the game is shaping up so far. In the latest update, Blizzard revealed how the grim RPG is handling elements such as storytelling, its open-world, and seamless multiplayer.

BlizzCon may have been a bust in 2020, but one of the oldest names in video games is back with a vengeance in 2021! With convention center doors still closed, the annual pilgrimage to Anaheim is off the table, but Blizzard is instead bringing BlizzCon online this year in the form of…well, BlizzConOnline. The show kicks off on February 19 and wraps up the following day, and will include plenty of panels, cosplay, and reveals.

Technically a game can’t be delayed if it never had a release date, but if you were expecting to play Diablo 4 or Overwatch 2 in 2021 then buddy do I have some bad news for you.

Jeff Kaplan mentioned that the game will be shown at next year’s BlizzCon Online. You just know someone wanted to call it BlizzConline but given the company’s recent history it would probably raise too many eyebrows.
