Paramount+ is planning some big TV shoes to try and compete in the streaming space adapting both popular movies into new series and bringing back some classics.

CBS' crime drama based on the key character of Clarice Starling is finally here.

After a big-screen reboot with Denzel Washington, The Equalizer is going back to its 1980s TV drama series roots with another reboot, this time led by star/producer Queen Latifah.

Venture into 1993, a year after the events of "The Silence of the Lambs," to explore the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

While many corporations have issued statements over the last couple of months using all the right words to express their desire for change within their industries and society in general, few have backed that up with concrete action yet. However US TV network CBS have announced a bold initiative to increase representation of people of colour within its writers’ rooms and new script development.

They say that when the eye of the ranger is upon you, anything you do he's gonna see. And that includes rebooting Chuck Norris' classic Walker, Texas Ranger TV series with Supernatural star Jared Padalecki.

Entertainment companies CBS Corporation and Viacom, who have merged and split from each other before, have finally reached an agreement that'll see CBS acquiring Viacom once more. The pair will form a new entertainment giant that'll be known as ViacomCBS.

Companies may be looking to spend millions on new original content, but it seems that its the old classics that are still worth the most money.
