DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation are celebrating ten years of animated movies by collecting every film into one massive boxset. That’s 30 animated movies, as well as the five DC Showcase short films that make the most of their brief running time: The Spectre, Green Arrow, Jonah Hex, Catwoman and Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam.

Red Son has long since been regarded as one of the finest Elseworlds stories ever told, a saga that would be perfect for an animated adaptation. Or maybe even a live-action film, as discussions have taken place at Warner Bros. over a possible Menshevik of Steel flick.

Remember when Marvel had some of the best cartoons ever? From Iron Man and the Avengers through to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, the house of ideas was on fire during the 1990s and 2000s. A fire that recent cartoons have doused thanks to shoddy quality and cheap stories.

Move over all you tragic, moody superheroes, and take your tortured backstories with you. The DC Extended Universe has a new star. One that is going to save the world and the rest of the DCEU in one go. It's time Wonder Woman shows us what real heroes are made of.
