Whatever you think of Destiny 2, one word rings true as an apt descriptor for it’s content: Substantial. Having clearly learnt a lesson from Destiny 1, Destiny 2 always feels busy. There’s a constant grind, albeit an enjoyable one in which players are earning new gear across a wide variety of activities inside of the sequel. Said activities will most likely increase even further, once Destiny 2’s first slice of DLC pops up.

With just over a month left on the calendar before Middle-Earth: Shadow of War hits the ground running, the current marketing push for Monolith’s follow-up to 2014’s Shadow of Mordor has been…odd. Sometimes amping up the usual sequel values of bigger and orkier, sometimes producing comedy gold with trailers highlighting an Orc faction hellbent on having enough bling to attract a dragon over, Shadow of War does have the habit of sending out mixed messages to fans. And then there are the more touching moments, like the reveal of a brand new character within the sequel. Not just another new face, or a reimagining of a literary character but with an X chromosome, Shadow of War’s latest trailer is more personal for Monolith.

Final Fantasy XV is plugging itself into the Animus to bring players all manner of Assassin’s Creed content in a crossover with Ubisoft’s premiere franchise of back-stabbery. No really, this is actually happening. August 30 will see the city of Lesatalium put on an “Assassin’s Festival” as Noctis and co. suit up in the garb of a familiar brotherhood.
