Every Javelin has an arsenal of tricks up its mechanised sleeves, which when used correctly and in tandem with your other teammates, can help dish out some staggering damage on the more tenacious bullet sponges that inhabit the world around you. So how does it work in Anthem?

Visceral’s Star Wars game is deader than Emperor Palpatine’s love life after he became Darth Scrotum in Revenge of the Sith. Digging an even deeper hole for themselves in the eyes of fans, EA pulled the plug on the game and called it a day. It’s a pity, because this was the game that at least sounded like it would be a delightful antithesis to the lacklustre pair of multiplayer shooters that EA had released over the last couple of years.

There’s a lot that works in Anthem! There’s a lot of content that is also middling at best, but I’ll save my thoughts for the review. Here’s the thing, Anthem could easily go from okayish to enjoyable, within the span of a few patches. Something that Bioware has realised, as the day one patch for the mech-warrior game is going to be a big one.

According to some digging done by Dataminers and Real Apex Leaks, even more content is slated to appear in Apex Legends. While new Legends to play as, more cosmetic content and the aforementioned modes are a given, it’s the reference to a Survival mode that sounds particularly interesting.

Destiny vs Anthem. Which game is the best? On the one hand, you have a brand new experience to enjoy, while on the other greasy appendage you have a product which has several years of content to explore, woven into its very DNA. Time for a proper showdown.

While Blomkamp may be hit or miss with his films, there’s no denying that the man knows how to actually make a good-looking film. Kervyn has actually mentioned this before, highlighting the fact that Blomkamp is a genius behind the camera and the last person you want actually writing the script for a flick. Heck, give him somebody’s else material, and Blomkamp can create something magical.
