The Old Guard is a faithful adaptation of the Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez mini-series that pitted immortal warriors against the deadliest threat to the planet: Big Pharma. So how did this project all come together? With its first season done and dusted, CW’s Batwoman series has been a smash hit for the network and will definitely be back once life resumes at a more normal pace. The only problem? Batwoman herself, won’t be suiting up again as star Ruby Rose has announced that she’ll be vacating the cape and cowl.
It’ll be a while before going outside and not looking like a Bane stunt double extra from The Dark Knight Rises is still a thing, so you might as well indulge in some cartoon viewing about realities that are almost as bad as this one but would actually be preferable to what we have now.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power ends its adventure with a true reminder of how powerful friendship, love and compassion truly is. There is hope and love in every frame of its animation, the sharpest of writing and an ending that sticks the landing, as the tale of She-Ra comes to an end.
