Just like the Easter bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Queen of England, I still refuse to believe in the existence of the Borderlands movie. It has a cast which is punching well above its weight, and if the first teaser image of Cate Blanchett as the Siren Lillith is anything to go by, this Eli Roth-directed film is going to win plenty of love from fans for at least nailing the look of its characters properly.

Time to set aside some TV time. New to Netflix this Friday, June 4, is comic adaptation Sweet Tooth, a post-apocalyptic fairy tale that is hands down one of the best new series of 2021.

I still refuse to believe that the Borderlands movie is happening, but here we are. Eli Roth calling the shots behind the camera, a stacked cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart as headliners, and a classic story of treasure hunters on a backwards alien planet looking to score some sweet loot from an alien vault.

Infinite follows Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg), a self-medicated man diagnosed as schizophrenic because he’s plagued by memories of places he’s never visited. But just as he’s on the verge of a mental breakdown, Evan is visited by the Infinites, a secret society who informs him that not only are his memories real, but they are from all his past lives. The Infinites take Evan into their fold and help him unlock the answers to his memories. Together, they must stop one of their own, Bathurst (Chiwetel Ejiofor), from his mission to destroy humanity.
