Bethesda, in their wisdom, told MTV Multiplayer (via Kotaku) that they won’t be implementing post-ending play for their post-apocalyptic sim Fallout 3 for the PS3, even though it will be in the Xbox 360 and PC DLC. Todd Howard, executive producer and all-round important guy said “Not at this time, no.” Translated from Bethesda language, ” No as we can’t …

The Fallout 3 patch is now live for all versions of the game on their respective updating avenues. Its staggering that it has taken Bethesda this long to get a patch out after the outcry of bugs like the Playstation 3 one which caused the game to crash if a friend logged on. Why has it taken so long just …

Eurogamer have been counting down their top 50 games of the year and have finally come to the end. Instead of working on any solid formula they have basically just asked the team which games they liked the best that were released in 2008. Then they put them all together and ranked them accordingly… simple really and it has thrown …

Fallout 3 Prank Call – I have a dream…

By Nick De Bruyne

A radio show called Coast to Coast AM with George Noory had been discussing the topic of dreams when someone called in and described some dreams that he had been having that may just sound awfully familiar to anyone who has played Fallout 3. The guy calling in does a fantastic job of keeping a straight "radio face" as he describes his so-called dreams about blue jumpsuits, a vault and a wasteland. The host of the show is obviously completely oblivious to the fact that it is all a big joke and refers to the scenario as "scary", whilst asking the caller how far in the future the dreams took place. Bravo to this guy for pulling it off so well and not doing something like shouting "lol noob, PWnZoRED!" at the end. Maybe there is still hope for gamers.

Fallout 3 getting DLC – PC version gets content creator

By Nick De Bruyne

While I was aware that it was looking really good and I have been a fan of the Elder Scrolls series, I really didn't expect it to impress in the way that it did. While I am still trying to wrap my head around how much there is to do in the game and how many areas I still have to explore, I am happy to say that new DLC has been announced for consoles (as well as PC) and in another sense, I am sad to say that us console guys aren't going to be able to get our hands on the PC creation tools, called the G.E.C.K (Garden of Eden Creation Kit). The creation kit will be released next month and the DLC is set to hit in January, with even more coming in February and March. It looks as if it will only be the Xbox 360 getting the DLC, which sounds like a bummer to PS3 owners but it gets me thinking about PSN and how there is no reason that the content creation tools won't be able to be used on the PS3, so it may actually be good news for the PS3 guys. Bethesda says that they "can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.”... I can only hope that if we are lucky, Bethesda will choose some of the best content and then add it as DLC to the consoles. A list of what you can expect in the DLC as well as some more info on the G.E.C.K, after the jump. [Thanks Poddle for the tip] The G.E.C.K sounds pretty awesome, giving gamers the ability to not only change and create areas, but to also create missions and stories as well. Bethesda say that: "The Garden of Eden Creation Kit will let users create, modify, and edit any data for use with Fallout 3, from building landscapes, towns, and locations to writing dialogue, creating characters, weapons and creatures." It makes me wonder if gamers will also be able to record and add voice for the characters? In any case, the rest of us can all still look forward to the DLC. Here is the list of what is going to be made available: • Operation: Anchorage. Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.... Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh.... Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all.

Fallout 3 Patches Coming For Everyone

By Gareth

Bethesda don’t really have a good track record of getting things perfectly right the first time round. Oblivion was far from perfect upon launch and Fallout 3 has had it’s issues as well, such as crashes, lock-ups and graphical glitches. Last Updated: November 21, 2008
