I still haven’t played Borderlands 3. It’s sitting there, installed, ready to go my PlayStation 4 Pro, but I haven’t so much as looked at the icon in weeks. I refuse to play it, mostly because it’s a game series that I play co-op with my wife. We could split-screen the thing, but I’m waiting on that promised cross-platform play that’ll let me play on PC while she plays on PS4. I also very much doubt this functionality will ever come, so it’s possible that I may just never play Borderlands 3. Don't be like me.

Ahh…it’s that time of the month were both Microsoft and Sony reveal the games that’ll be coming along to subscribers of their online services. As usual, Microsoft is first out of the gate, giving us a look at the selection of pseudo-freebies to come to Games with Gold. Well, at least they’ve revealed the games for Germany, which shouldn’t be too different from the one we’ll be getting.

Free Games! Hurry up and grab The Bureau: XCOM Declassified from Humble right now. Released in 2013, it was a semi-tactical squad shooter set in the 1960’s that had government agents fighting aliens. IS it a great game? No! But you can't argue with free.

It was divisive when it was releaed in 2014, but it's hard to argue with free. From now until November 13, you can pick up Watch_Dogs on PC for the cost of absolutely nothing.

Remember all those excellent MS-DOS classic games? You can play them for free. Didn't know there were porn games? You can play those for free, too.

Xbox and PlayStation both give away free games each month. But which service will make gamers happier at the start of 2015?

Gamers should just be happy to be getting free games every month, right? Maybe, but it's still worth evaluating which offers more value.
