Anthem’s not dead yet! Easily the biggest flop in Bioware’s long history, the massively-hyped Anthem was all style and no real substance when it launched back in February 2019. Since then, it has been bled dry of players, gone back to the drawing board, and has had a small team of dedicated developers assigned to it while Bioware’s top brass forgot to look up the definition of sunk-cost fallacy.

Every Javelin has an arsenal of tricks up its mechanised sleeves, which when used correctly and in tandem with your other teammates, can help dish out some staggering damage on the more tenacious bullet sponges that inhabit the world around you. So how does it work in Anthem?

You look at a Javelin in Anthem, and you don’t just see several tons of awesome being used to pepper a battlefield with micro-rockets and exotic techno-magic. I see a lethal expression of individuality, suits which can be tailored to provide a unique and glorious final image before an enemy finds their face rearranged by a mechanised metal fist of frontier justice.

EA’s upcoming Anthem wants to take advantage of the latest in video game console technology, as developer Bioware revealed that the game will have options available for players who seek a specific level of performance.

Only some of Anthem was shown off in a livestream this week. Today, EA probably said “what the hell” and decided to detail everything that these Javelin suits are capable of. And buddy, they sure do sound fun.
