Metro Exodus is a lovely game – but it caused a bit of a stir when it became an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC. It wasn’t just that the game wouldn’t be available on Steam that angered fans, but rather that it was summarily yanked away despite having been a pre-orderable product on steam for months before its very rapid shift to exclusivity.
Google’s now released the list of games that’ll be available for launch, and if I didn’t already think that the Google Stadia was set to be little more than a curiosity, I certainly do now. Stadia will launch next week with just 12 games available for purchase.
The impending Google Stadia launch just seems to be going from bad to worse. Google recently surreptitiously revealed that the system’s controller won’t be able to wirelessly, seamlessly jump from system to system – taking one of the system’s best features away from the launch. Instead, players would have to use a cable if they wanted to play their Stadia games on their PCs, tablets and phones at launch. Now it seems some who pre-orders won’t be able to play any games at all.
Google’s Stadia is coming on November 9. At least, it’ll be coming to the early adopters who pre-ordered the cloud-based streaming system’s Founder’s Edition. It'll be missing its biggest feature though.
The game, which has been in beta since the end of 2017 will be launching it’s 1.0 version later this month alongside a new expansion.
The creepy competitive shooter will be taking the big ol’ 1.0 leap in August so strap up and get ready for bullets, blood and monsters!
