According to the listing, this version of Final Fantasy VII Remake cannot be upgraded to the PS5 version, so you’ll still have to shell out if you want all those fancy next-gen extras on that console.

You know what’s the best part of the dawn before a new console generation? All those delicious rumours which precede the launch of said devices. With a month having already been chipped out of the year that is 2020, Sony’s current strategy seems to be one of hype and tight deadlines as nary a peep regarding the PS5 has been seen so far.

March was starting to look like a bit of a too busy month for gamers this year, but good (and mostly terrible) news! One of the heaviest hitters of the year won’t be making its original release date, instead slipping a few weeks back and going head to head with Cyberpunk 2077 instead. The game in question? None other than Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is ditching its original release date of March 3 for April 10.

The ides of March may be a taboo subject around a Caesar salad bar, but for gamers? The third month of the year is looking pretty good if you happen to be nostalgic, starved of action and you feel like playing with your food. Xbox’s regular Games With Gold promotion that doles out free games has a whopper of a selection that happens to scratch all three of those moods, as the month ahead will see the following games released as freebies.

Coming off of February’s big-budget releases, March kind of feels like a tamer month in comparison. That’s not to say that there aren’t some high-profile releases on the way (Think Devil May Cry, The Division 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice), but the spacing between these games feels…better. On the other hand, indie games are thriving in March.
