Maybe you should hold off on streaming Marvel's Avengers for a bit. You and the other four player who are still playing that game for whatever reason.

If it’s not anime Darryn drudges up on deck every episode it’s that Marvel’s Avengers game and for the life of me I can’t figure out why he’s still playing it.

In a game that includes a green steroid rage machine, a god of thunder, and a living World War 2 legend flinging a giant frisbee around, it’s amazing how a regular dude lobbing pointed sticks at murder machines might just be one of the most powerful characters around.

Here I was expecting them to release a third Hawkeye but I guess at some point you’ve really got to closely examine the ratio of bows to superpowers in your Marvel-themed game.

Here’s a look at everything that was revealed in the first Square Enix Presents, from Project Athia’s official new title to the next chapter in the ongoing saga of Marvel’s Avengers.

Square Enix is taking a page from the Nintendo book of Directs, as it’ll be broadcasting its first episode next week of a new showcase called “Square Enix Presents.” Taking place on March 18 and probably at an ungodly hour, there’ll be 40 minutes of content to sit through. Square Enix isn’t short on games right now either, as it has a packed slate of projects to pick from.

Next week’s Marvel’s Avengers is adding plenty of upgrades to the Crystal Dynamics-developed game, and while a sweeping overhaul that actually makes it fun to play isn’t currently on the list, a few admittedly neat features are.

Marvel’s Avengers does have the potential to be fun, but turning a burly Gamma-powered bouncer into one of Earth’s mightiest mortals requires a heck of a lot of grinding to get to a point where that character is a true powerhouse. That journey towards the top of the superhero food chain is going to take even longer next week when next-gen upgrades and a new patch arrive in Avengers, the messaging of which was kind of murky according to developer Crystal Dynamics.
