Mass Effect lives once again in May, this time as a remaster of the original trilogy of games that adds a whole lot of spit and polish to the crew of the Normandy. There’s a lot that has been done behind the scenes to get the older games running at a more modern pace, from graphical overhauls to a partial remake of the original Mass Effect even.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 14, adding a number of substantial tweaks and enhancements to the beloved sci-fi games.

We know very little about it other than it exists but I’m sure fans are as excited as ever to maybe return to the Milky Way.

Last night had plenty of announcements, and while only a handful of them were whoa-level announcements, combined they still made for one heck of a show.

In a blog post announcing his latest departure, now former Bioware studio general manager and Mass Effect series architect Casey Hudson wrote about how the time was right to hand the reigns over to a younger generation of developers.

It’s official! Revealed on N7 day and reported two days later because I was firmly in weekend mode, Mass Effect’s original trilogy is finally getting the remaster treatment. As you probably guessed, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will combine the first three games into one solid package that also adds all the single-player DLC that each game came with, and it’ll be out next year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. And by virtue of backwards compatibility, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
