Destiny 2 players are happier than ever. That surge in joy could be seen in sales numbers for the game as well, as Destiny 2 was offered for free in September over on PS Plus, resulting in plenty of purchases of its expansion content. Heck, Destiny 2 was pretty much the top-grossing console game of the month, beating even the mighty Fortnite. It apparently wasn’t enough for Activision.

PEGI, the Pan European Game Information labelling system lists the age restriction and content descriptors for games that might cause offence – including things like drug use, violence, swearing, gambling and sex. Today, it’s announced another offensive descriptor: In-game purchases.

Forza Motorsport 7’s loot boxes are being removed

The highly acclaimed Forza Motorsport racing games had a bit of a stain on them with the last game. It wasn’t nearly as beloved as previous games, with complaints ranging from boring music, the removal of interesting classes, and a messy progression system. Most criticised of all though was the inclusion of loot boxes. Mods for cars came by way of Prize Crates – loot boxes - changing the way you earned cash for new cars. Those are now being yanked.
