eSports gamers and fans are just like the rest of us, right? Well, sort of, sometimes. I suppose it depends on my mood and if I feel like hitting the gym.

Riot Games has taken a strong stance on sponsers who contribute to their growing Elo Boosting problem, banning prominent sponser G2A from their eSports scene.

Thanks to the looming Legacy of the Void release, Heroes of the Storm is getting some much needed StarCraft II loving. Two characters from the RTS franchise, Lieutenant Morales and Artanis, will be joining the MOBA roster. The Terran medic will be available from today as a matter of fact, while Artanis will only be wondering into the Nexus much later, on October the 27th to be exact. Whoever came up with the idea to add a Compendium to Dota 2 deserves a pat on the back, and a punch in the face. Yes, the digital book is a neat way to enhance the overall game experience, but it also has this annoying habit of eating up money, all in exchange for cosmetic goodies, and of course, Valve would never say no to making more money. They’ve now released the Fall Season 2015 Compendium, and it's looking to steal yours!

As far as balancing goes, Heroes of the Storm is top notch for a MOBA. Blizzard are looking to improve the overall experience even further though.

With the Reborn update hitting Dota 2 a few weeks ago, you’d expect the playerbase for Valve’s MOBA to surge higher than ever. An update to bring Source 2 to the game, along with a whole new UI and a bunch of other cool tricks… who wouldn’t want to play that? A lot less people it seems, because the number of people diving into Dota 2 has dropped by a whopping 16%.

Mobile MOBA, Vainglory, has been patched to 1.9. The extensive update includes the start of the autumn season, a brand new hero, and a bunch of other goodies too.

When it comes to multiplayer, Halo 5: Guardians is also looking at some new ideas. Specifically, a mode that was inspired by MOBA click ‘em up, League of Legends.
