If they’re to be believed, a leaked set of Mortal Kombat 11 trophies suggest that it won’t be a herculean task to platinum the game

There’s a certain sense of bloodlust in the air. The floor below is littered with dried crimson, the people around me demand to see entrails fly and after a good couple of years, I’ve once again wandered into Netherrealm’s latest spectacle of gore and savagery. It’s often been said that you can’t build a better mouse trap, but year after year NetherRealm Studios manages to prove the old adage wrong.

Plenty of games, a decent running time and news on what lies ahead. No longer just the domain of Nintendo and their series of Direct presentations, but an idea that’s also home to Sony now! Mortal Kombat the movie would have been poorer without actor Cary-HiroyukiTagawa’s presence as Shang Tsung, and now the next Mortal Kombat game is preparing to enrich itself with his addition to the roster.

In Mortal Kombat 11, Raiden’s defeat of the evil Elder God, Shinnok, has drawn the ire of Kronika and upset her desired balance between good and evil. To restore stability in the realms, Kronika has only one option – rewind time to its beginning and restart history.

Coming off of February’s big-budget releases, March kind of feels like a tamer month in comparison. That’s not to say that there aren’t some high-profile releases on the way (Think Devil May Cry, The Division 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice), but the spacing between these games feels…better. On the other hand, indie games are thriving in March.

hate the way that fighting games trickle out their character rosters. I loathe the way that there’s a new character trailer every few weeks, formulaically showing off move sets in an easy-to-digest way. I hate how every single fighting game does this, and I hate how every single video game site on the planet covers these things in the same piecemeal way that they’re delivered. I also hate how much of a damned hypocrite I am, because that’s what I’m doing right now.

Some people never give up though. The faithful, the truly dedicated, find a way to keep a meme going not only in their hearts, but also in video games. Like this mod for Jump Force from Beatz, that makes an otherwise mediocre game a thousand times better by placing Shaggy inside of it.
